I ate here today. I had the mixed vegetables vegetarian option and a cold coffee with ice-cream and whipped cream - both were lovely. My waiter was very courteous and kindly gave me an English language menu. Really beautiful views, good service and great food. View all feedback.
This cosy and authentic little place is located just below the mountain station of the Ehrwalder Alm cable car. We went here one day when the clouds suddenly decided to roll down the mountains covering everything in wet and cold drizzle.Provided the weather is nice (which it was the day before) they have a large terrace where you can sit comfortable outside and enjoy the magnificent views. The service is quick and attentive, and we were quickly seated at a large table only occupied by two other persons. We went for the gullasch soup, a couple of wheat beers (hefe weizen) and sandwiches for the kids. The soup arrived in a deep dish, which was almost the size of a soup bowl and was blissfully hot and well spiced. This was really good! After the soup I was quite full, but my wife wanted a price of strudel for dessort. She was served a piece almost the size of a small bread with a heap of whipped cream, so everybody in the family had the change of tasting the excellent pastry.Due to the less than perfect weather conditions the place was quite full around lunch time, and the day before the terrace was also quite full. All in all a much-sought and popular place. This is highly recommendable.
