During our travels in the eastern part of Iceland, we decided to take a longer break at Vök Baths. We were fortunate to visit when the sun was shining brightly, and ended up getting a slight sunburn! The views from the baths were absolutely stunning. The water temperature was perfect, and you could even enjoy a refreshing drink while soaking. It's definitely a worthwhile experience, so make sure to check it out (although be prepared to spend a little extra money)!
Translated: The Vök baths are a wonderful experience in good weather. Large outdoor pools with different temperatures allow you to enjoy the fresh air, the sun, and drinks (alcoholic and non-alcoholic) that you can purchase at the bar while relaxing in the comfortably warm water. If you get too hot, you can take a dip in Lake Urridavatn, which literally touches the walls of the pools. The restaurant is good and offers delicious light dishes, soups, and salads. Don't miss the teas offered in the lobby.
Upprunalegt) Very nice not crowded, family atmosphere. Much more relaxing compared to the baths we went to in Reykjavik. The free herbal teas were also a nice touch, and a great way to rehydrate. The food at the cafe was excellent. Delicious, and beautiful presentation.
