Absolutely fantastic hotel and define Knall for Buck. Excellent friendly and competent hotel staff. In the middle of the city, all basic shops are on foot. Clean freshly updated rooms and beautiful views from our window. Bar has happy hours between 1700 and 1900 with drinks at 50% discount. Very recommended! View all feedback.

What User dislikes about Lyng:
Not much choice in this area. The kids enjoyed the pizza. The Indian court was fine. Super friendly and efficient service. I recommend eating there when you stop here. There are better restaurants, for example in Höfn. View all feedback.

Not much choice in this area. The kids enjoyed the pizza. Also the Indian dish was ok. Super friendly and efficient service. I recommend eating there if you make a stop here. Bit there are way better restaurants e.g. in Höfn.

Excellent hotel. While we were there, they tried to have an external cleaning/repair that could remain unreliable when the night falls. The room is clean with great amenities beautiful tea bag and shower gel, shampoo and conditioner from L'Occitane de Provence, which smells divine. The heating in the room is sufficient. Breakfast was a bit disappointing, but not so bad. Reception area is nice and warm. The hotel is located in the middle of the city, so it is perfect if you get something for the road.

One night here. The staff at check-in was pleasant and helpful. The rooms were clean and well furnished with views of the highway. Street noise was low. As with all hotel rooms here I find that the rooms are very warm even when the window is open. They provide an ugly blanket, if everything is needed, is a light cover sheet. If you are a very sensitive threshold, I would strongly recommend bringing your own pillow, as pillows are often very soft and puffy and also very warm when sleeping. I asked for a middle pillow and they had none. I found this bed comfortable for my back. I had a good sleep. The morning breakfast set a record for the best food distribution. I could sample a range of local products such as sardines and herring and marinated salmon, as well as a shrimp and egg salad. Location was easy to find and also get. There are also many free parking spaces in front and back. Yes, I would recommend staying here.
