M & M Subway - Edmundston

We are big Subway fans. Eat at Subway restaurants across Canada, the US, and even Australia, and this was a little sub-par. The service was a little slow. The servers were a little quiet and reserved and the topics were not generous. Having said that the taste was Subway. It will not deter us from eating at Subway, but next time through Edmundston we will visit another establishment.

Returning home from 2 weeks away, we were wanting to eat something healthier than the food we generally stop for. We turned off the TCH at Edmundston (Exit 18) which is one of our frequent exits to use. We passed by options for burgers, chicken, pizzas, etc, seeking something a bit more on the healthy side, yet still a quick stop. Subway seemed an acceptable option. I went in and ordered 2 sub sandwiches, one for my wife and one for me. They were almost the same, but had some differences. When we ate them, we felt that they were healthier and also tasted great. One young worker took my order and then crafted the sandwiches. She was polite, friendly and professional as she worked. We were not seeking a gourmet meal. we knew what we were getting. It was a submarine sandwich from a chain operation. As sandwiches go, it was far better than expected. It was very tasty and did the trick for us. We were back on the road in no time, with our bellies happy, having our lunches prepared to meet our individual preferences. We were happy about our choice.

Busy spot. It appears clean. We stopped on two occasions. Good sandwiches and salad. Plenty of parking and visible from the highway-easy access.

Despite the long line up, the staff kept things going smoothly and efficiently. Good service and tasty sandwich. Great location just off the highway makes for an easy on/off stopping point for travellers.

We stopped for a quick morning bite and had an unexpected experience at Shot in the Dark.
