The peach shrimp are unforgettable indulgence: best deep fried shrimp I have every eaten anywhere, hands down. The best Peach Shrimp ever. The Crispy Ginger Beef is actually crispy, so flavourful, less fatty than most with meatier strips. Outstanding and the BEST in the city. We live 30 minutes away from this location and drive there for our take out. It is annoying, but just outstanding. After a feed , it is so addi... View all feedback.
What TIM C doesn't like about Wok N' Go:
I would rather have the 4 item special from the Chinese place at the mall then have food from here again. I assume they use precooked shrimp for this menu item because the deep fried shrimp batter wasn't cooked through. The chicken balls could have been used as billiard balls. The outside was hard. The chow mein was uncooked. The beef was tender (I have to say one nice thing). If I could give it a lower rating, I wou... View all feedback.
The food was very tasty. We love the Peach Shrimp! There are daily specials which are very reasonable in price. The owner is very hospitable. We have never received a call back from a restaurant owner asking how the food was! She worked hard to make sure we were happy! We will order again!
I enjoyed the fried rice and the variety of spring rolls i found very delicious. My boyfriend loved the ginger beef and sweet and sour pork. What would bring me back most is the kind and friendly service. Thank you very much.
This use to be fabulous tasty food, but ever since the new owner took over it is has to be the worse Chinese food in Edmonton! (If not the world. It’s hard to believe that a restaurant could go from great to terrible. We were shocked when we ordered it after the change In ownership, tried it again a few months later, hoping that it was just growing pains, sadly the food was equally terrible. Last week , we ordered again, hoping against all odds that it would be better and because we had out of town guest to feed. Ordered a dinner for 4 and 6 of us barely put a dent in it. Our guest sheepishly admitted that they had never had just awful Chinese food. We just threw out the leftovers, except for the fried rice which was bland but edible. Any mall Chinese food court food would greatly exceed the quality and taste of the Wokngo in Riverbend. I write this with a heavy heart as this use to be our go to takeout and, now despite giving it a try a few more times (honestly it can’t be that consistently awful, but it is we will drive about 5 km to get decent Chinese takeout. It’s too bad and very sad. Don’t know who owns it, but please fix this mess.
Haven’t ordered here since under new ownership. Very disappointing, greasy limp vegetables. No fresh mushrooms or peppers which are usual veggies included in the dishes we ordered. Won’t be going back.
This place used to be excellent, in our opinion the best in the city but unfortunately the new owners have new recipes and ingredients in which they use and it isn't as tasty. My husband and I usually order the Ginger Beef and the Soy Sauce Chow Mien.
