Contribute FeedbackUrban China is a restaurant that offers a mix of dim sum and dinner dishes. While the food is good, some find the prices to be on the higher side compared to other Chinese restaurants in Edmonton. The restaurant itself could use some updating, and it is located in a neighborhood that some may find questionable. However, those who have tried their dim sum have found it to be authentic and enjoyable, with a variety of dishes available. The service is generally good, and the atmosphere is pleasant. Some have found that the appetizers are a better choice than the main courses, with dishes like salt and pepper calamari receiving high praise. Overall, Urban China seems to be a good option for those looking for authentic Chinese cuisine, especially for dim sum enthusiasts.
I was spoiled and had our boss order a Chinese new years spread...11 courses...omg these people know how to cook !!!!
Although I enjoy dim sum, I rarely go out for it so each time we go we like to try and find someplace new. Urban China may not look like much from the outside but the inside is decorated nicely and the food was awesome! The carts were a bit slow as they came around but overall everything was great.
The food is quite good, the service is wonderful and the atmosphere is great. Although it might be a bit on the expensive side (what isn't nowadays), the food is always a treat to eat.
Enjoyed what I consider to be healthy Chinese food. Loved the shrimp and vegetables. Food made fresh and just for us. It is a little pricy, but Groupon helps. Too bad they charge for tea.
This is our second time at this place. They have a good groupon on where you can save almost half on your meal. We ordered scallops and seafood, wor wonton soup (huge! and almond chicken. The veggies in 3 dishes were exactly the same, but everything tastes really good. Twice already when at home I start having some pain in my stomach after, but I blame lots of leafy vegetables. Overall recommend. Even our 5 year old enjoyed it (quite picky . And yes, if you are not Chinese, you are getting a 3 times smaller menu
