We once again visited Tony Roma's where we meet our friends once or twice a year --once again they did not disappoint!! We had Top Sirloin and Baby Back ribs with all the fixins. Steak was cooked to perfection, Baby Back ribs were delicious. The baked potato was perfect and were offered all the toppings. What User doesn't like about Tony Roma's:
The waitress was friendly and attentive. My food was only warm the butter wouldn't melt on my baked potato and the ribs were cold. Other Tony's I've been have always asked what kind of sauce you would like on ribs -- not this one. Not that impressed with the food. View all feedback.
So apparently this location does not accept Tony Romas gift cards unless they were bought at this exact location (66 st 137 Ave). No wonder it always looks dead there when we drive by. I also heard this location is permanently closing soon(awesome news). “The New Management” should have changed the restaurant name when they took over this location, instead of relying on the “Tony Romas” name especially if they will not accept Canada wide issued Tony Romas gift cards. I will be submitting a complaint to the Service Alberta’s Consumer Investigations Unit (CIU).
This restaurant has been at this location for many years and is showing its age. The interior is worn but clean. Our server was friendly and helpful. My wife and I shared the rack of pork ribs with a baked potato. It was served hot and was tasty. We enjoyed our meal. There is plenty of parking and the restaurant is wheelchair accessible. There was 7 of us and the server took care of all. There was positive feedback from all. We will come back another time.
Went to have dinner with my family of 7. Made reservations for 5:30pm. We arrived at 5:20 pm. My name was on the reservation list, but I was told that they didn’t have a table for me. I was then asked if I wanted to sit in the bar area, I told them I had two two year olds with me, and then the two staff at the front desk started fighting over whether or not my grandkids could go into the bar. They finally decided to set up a table for us in the bar area. When we sat down it was so crowded. I was squished up against the table because there was no room for a table that size in the bar area.They set the table for 7 but only gave us 5 set of utensils. I had ask more than once for more, some of my family was already eating as we waited for more utensils. We had to get up and get our own condiments. My husband did not like his meal so I asked for it to be taken off the bill and it was not. I called the next day to speak to the manager and the manager told me there’s nothing he could do, he had to talk to the owner the next day . I waited for about a week waiting for a call back. The call never came. I called back and I was told the manager will call me at the end of that day. That did not happen. I called back a few more times. The owner was never in. I finally went to the restaurant to spoke to the manager or owner. He said the owner was not there. Not asking for my money back just asking for $25 credit, my bill was almost $300 and it was so uncomfortable being wedged in the middle of the bar area.He went to the back to call the owner and came back and said there’s nothing he could do because the complaint was not made before I left. I told him I did tell the server how I felt. Also, I told him it is not my fault that I have called numerous times and no owner never called me back. So, the manager offered me a $10 gift card today. When I wouldn’t except the $10 he told me there was nothing he could do and to get out of the restaurant. Not good customer service and they should not lie to people about having the owner call them back. Before I left I asked him what sense is it making a reservation if it’s not being honored. He had no answer, he just wanted me to leave. Never had a problem with this location before. Been eating there for yea don’t plan on going back. I am so disappointed with how I was treated.?????
We ordered through skip and the portion size is laughable for the price, they also are terrible at double checking orders to ensure everything is packed. My Asian salad was missing one of the most important parts, the salad dressing.The only thing that is even slightly redeeming is the potato skins we ordered.Called to let them know about the missing dressing (as just a heads up to be more diligent) and having a manager cut me off as I’m talking and then just keep saying sorry over and over again felt very unauthentic.We will not be ordering from them again.
Hot, stuffy and terrible food. We felt bad for the server as she did her best but the food was terrible here. I had a burger and salad. The burger was overcooked, lacking any flavor, dry no condiments), with wilted lettuce and a soggy tomato. Daughter had the chicken sandwich with cheese. Tasted good but the piece of chicken was half the size of the bun, also her gravy was like brown water. Husband had the 1/2 rack of ribs which apparently tasted meh with no spice and the portion size was tiny.$85.00 later and we were all hungry 1hr or so later. Save your money and pass this place by.
