Was in the neighbourhood and my friend and I decided to have lunch here. The atmosphere here is warm and inviting with the incense you can smell as you walk in there entrance. They have a very extensive menu that should satisfy the taste buds of any visitor from sizzling platters, stir fries and of course the Pho's and Vermicelli bowls. On a Thursday night at 6 pm, the parking lot was completely empty - to the point that I wondered if they had closed down? But no, The doors still opened
I work in the west end, this is my go to lunch spot.
The food here is very good We entered to find the restaurant about half full and were seated promptly under a tv and close to the door.
I came here with 10 friends and we were seated right away at lunch on a Saturday. We ordered some appetizers because organizing food for that many people is hard. We all ordered within 20 minutes and the food came out as it was prepared. Don't wait for other people to eat. The Pho and Vermicelli bowls came out first. Then the Sates. Finally the sizzling platters. I had a sizzling seafood platter which came out piping hot. That's for sure. It was comforting but I think I would like the Sate meal better. It had more flavour and really soaked up well with rice. The pho and vermicelli bowls are fairly typical of any Vietnamese restaurant. I liked the staff as they were friendly and accommodating since more people showed up than I was aware were coming and moving tables was no problem. We needed to go up and tell them what items we ordered to get the bills separated. This was less convenient but we were a large group and this restaurant isn't very high tech.
A large spacious restaurant with lots of tables, most with a decent amount of space between them. The beef noodle soup with vegetables was excellent and provided a filling nutritious option for lunch. The complimentary tea was very nice and the price was reasonable.
