Staff are helpful and polite. This is a great way to try out different games. Go on a date here or go with a group of friends.

We were invited to go with a group of friends to play some board games at Table Top Cafe. I didn't even know places like this existed and wasn't sure what to expect. The place was packed and had the walls covered in various board and RPG style card games. I had an excellent time and we hung out trying some old favorites and new board games making new friends along the way. The food selection is limited but I didn't leave hungry at all. Great people watching as well - you have all types of characters and groups rolling through. Service at Table Top is great as well. Most of them seem to have been working there for some time as they all had tips or tricks for almost all of the games that we were playing. The billing system works a little different than anything I'm used to. Make sure you check in with the cashiers first and they will take your name and what table you're sitting at. After that, everything is put on your tab, including a $5 charge for the evening to take part in any of the games available in the library. I thought that overall it is a very unique and fresh idea for options out with friends.
Last Friday evening was an interesting and pleasant time. A friend and I checked out Table Top Cafe, a place where you buy the time to sit an enjoy a board game with friends. Yes, board game. Everything from Risk to Monopoly to Settlers of Catan and the list goes on. The cafe style of service means you order from the food and drink bar and sometimes the servers would come by and check on your drinks. The food was good, a basic cafe fare; paninis, sandwiches, wraps and burritos. It is readied at the food bar and brought to your table. There are tortilla chips and dip, all manners of drinks and even 'adult beverages'. Admittedly, this is not the place most people would choose to dine out, but if you want to kill a few hours in a friendly quiet 'gamer's atmosphere' with your kids or even your nerdy friends, check it out. We spent 6 hours there and it flew by seamlessly. We enjoyed a few drinks, enjoyed two different board games, good food, the pleasure of a quiet atmosphere and will definately be going back. Just a note, when we arrived at around 4pm there were only two unreserved tables out of 14 tables. it is a busy place.
For $5/person for the entire time you are there, this cafe gives you option to choose from thousands of games stacked on the shelves like a library. You can pick the intense ones with a cup of coffee or some fun ones with a bottle of beer. I likes that it was open until midnight. A great option for people to play and select a board game before they actually want to buy one.
