Japenese food at it's finest here.I am a selective eater at Japenese restaurants, maybe I like my sushi, perfect. In any case;My experience here was great. We started with a delicious Miso soup, fantastic. Then we got one of the most visually appealing dishes I have ever seen, Tuna Tataki, delicious. Our main was a couple of plates of assorted sushi, making rolls, and sushimi. Well presented, very fresh, just plain good... View all feedback.
I was told this place was awesome but it still beat my expectations, from the spicy tuna roll to the tobiko with quails egg.
I visited this restaurant last evening with my two sons. I had one of the fixed dinners and one of my sons had another. They were both excellent and quite filling. Both my sons had an appetizer. One had the squid--it was cooked perfectly, not at all rubbery. The sauce was great. My other son had the spicy tuna roll and pronounced it very good. We all noted that large portion size of the appetizers so beware of ordering a fixed dinner plus appetizer unless you are very hungry. This is a local restaurant for us so we will be back

My colleagues and I went there for dinner on a relatively quiet night. We had to wait over 45 minutes between appetizer and main course.
This is my 2nd visit. This visit, was a birthday celebration. Located in a south Edmonton strip mall, of off Calgary Trail, Kobe is a nice surprise. The decor is what I consider modern Japanese, with booths, and tables. Jazz music in the background. There is an open Sushi kitchen. We were seated in a quiet booth. Our server Amy, was delightful, knowledge and all around pleasure. We came for the Sashimi, and sushi rolls. Our table ordered, Tuna and Salmon Sashimi, Spider, Scorpion, and Rainbow rolls. The Sashimi, was fresh, and tasty. Presentation on a bed of pickled cabbage, was a dallop of wasabi. Looked as good as it tasted. In short order it was followed by the Rainbow rolls, Spider and Scorpian rools. We enjoyed all of the rolls; Scorpio rolls were our favorite. All were full of flavour, fresh, and plated wonderfully. Topped of with deep fried green tea ice cream. With fresh whipped cream, and a chocolate twisty. Overall the ambiance, service, food were very good. The enthusiasm that Amy showed made this a pleasurable and memorable experience.
