Soda Jerks Namao Centre - Edmonton

I've never had such a bad experience at a restaurant before. Me and my boyfriend have went plenty of times to this establishment but after today, never again. My family was visiting in town and was wondering what a good place for supper was. I suggested this place having been before and raving about how good the burgers were, we all agreed to go here. When we walked in, only half the restaurant was filled, so we thought we could get in quickly. Apparently there was a 15 to 20 minute wait. Which was fine but was wondering why when only half the restaurant was filled. Me and my boyfriend were waiting for the rest of my family to come anyways (there were 6 of us in total). My family arrived 10 minutes later, and we waited some more. 40 minutes went by and we contemplated on leaving then and there when we were called to be seated, (finally). The waitress took us to a booth that was meant for 4 people and only handed us 2 menus. She must have forgotten I told her there were 6 of us, but she quickly set us up at a different table. Sadly still only having 2 menus and no one around to ask for more menus we all passed around the 2 menus and looked at the menus that way. About 20 more minutes of waiting, a waitress finally came over to start taking our drink orders. The girl we had was actually very nice and explained the menu very well. We got our water and pop and some more menus and she quickly disappeared again. After about another 20 minutes sitting there waiting to order she finally came around. 2 make your own burgers, 2 burgers off the menu, and 2 kids orders of a meal and dessert. The food came out quickly but was dissappointing. The adults fries were cold and tasted like they sat under a heat lamp all day, the burgers were good. The kids meals came with Apple slices and chicken fingers, but had to make more fries for them. After everyone was done their meal the waitress came over (about another 20 minutes) still no fries. I guess they had forgotten them. Finally the fries came, were actually good you can tell the difference between the fresh and the stale fries. After the kids were done the meal, we waited on dessert for them which turned into waiting for our bill. Sat at the table for now half an hour, could not flag anyone down, we decided to get up and wait at the front to pay. Still another 15 minutes up front to pay, and dessert to go after asking for it. Worst Experience Ever. I was even embarrassed to take my family to this place when it wasn't even busy and it took us at least 3 hours of waiting, sitting, and then eating. Never again.

We went on a Friday evening and really enjoyed the experience yes experience - you can assemble your very own burger - and the sides are something! The chocolate shake was sooo good! We will be going back and already have shared how much we have enjoyed our time here.

Ordered through skip-the-dish and I was pleasantly surprised by the kids meal. Even came with the re-usable cup that my boys love. Burgers are always tastety. Love the unique ways to customize the order - both main and side

We stopped by on Saturdays after we took our dog to the Vet Emerg on our way back to St.Albert..The place was not over busy we waited a long time for someone to greet us and take our drink order, and then she took our food order, everyone around us were getting there meal and they sat down after us. She came by and we asked , she was going to check she came back saying the food was in boxes and she didn't notice as she thought it was a take out order. We were hunger and tried the food came out cold we just ate it anyways. She never came back to see how our meal was we had to flag her down to get a refill and then again to get extra dip, and then finally to pay our bill. There is a lot of standing around it seems,from the staff and no one else came by either. We would not be back that is for sure!

It was my first time coming here, and I was very impressed. Our waitress was very friendly and knowledgeable about the menu which made ordering simple. Our food came out very fast and everything tasted great. We especially enjoyed the milkshakes, and since we came in on a Wednesday night our burger and hotdogs were 25% off. We will definitely be coming back.
