I've been to Shojo a handful of times but do want to come here more often. They've got new menu and dessert items each time I return and sometimes they're a real hit. Their mushroom udon is great but noticed it tasted different this time around (still tasty but in a different way like two different recipes were used . The first time it was much more mouth-watering and really pulled me into the dish. Recommend their h... View all feedback.
What Jesse Hamilton doesn't like about Shojo Izakaya:
In my opinion, the food could have been delicious with a more skilled chef. We spent $140 on two entrees, two appetizers, and a few drinks, but we were both disappointed and would not recommend this restaurant to anyone. The service was also very slow and there were limited vegetarian options available. View all feedback.
This restaurant has quickly become one of my favorite spots in town. It is conveniently located with free parking, serves delicious and high-quality food, but the standout is the exceptional service. It definitely makes dining out here worth it.
Was recited to try this place, great location and ambiance.Service was decent, our server was nice.Food is below average unfortunately. Chili wontons felt cheap, really thick dough and not enough filling. Drunken clams were very strong in sake, broth was unsippable, needs tweaking IMO. Sushi is average or below average. Way better places available in town for sushi. Not satisfied overall with the food though price point was fine.
One of few izakayas in town and overall, it's not bad. Nice-looking with some pretty tasty offerings. The clams are quite nice and we really liked the chicken nanban. The place could have better wooden chopsticks though but that's just being really picky.

We've ordered the totoroll and mushroom cream udon for afternoon snacks. The dishes were very good but found the service slow for 3 tables occupied at the patio and we were the only ones inside. Slow as the kitchen was slow, our server was great, though!
