My boyfriend and I have been here a couple times, and it's great! Quality sushi, lots of choices, fast service, and the staff are very nice. The restaurant is cozy too. The couple times we've been in there we are almost the only ones there! I don't know why there aren't more people, because it is so good. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Sabu Sushi Bar:
This location has been many different types of restaurants, bars and other establishments in the past 30 years. There are few restaurants in the area, which would suggest to me that the ones that are here should do well. Compared to the west end of Edmonton, this comparable east end is sparsely populated with places to eat. Enough of the location. I highly recommend trying Sabu. This was my second visit and once again, it exceeded my expectations. The attention to detail in the food preparation was impressive, with precise knife cuts, hot dishes served hot, and cold dishes served cold. The flavors were bold and the marinades were perfectly balanced. It's evident that the chefs have a true passion for what they do. The service was quick and friendly, and our requests were taken care of promptly. We will definitely be returning and telling others about this amazing restaurant.
I absolutely loved it! The sushi hut atmosphere in the old Pizza Hut was fantastic. The food was delicious and beautifully presented, and the service was excellent. I will definitely be returning.
Best Sushi in YEG. Don't be fooled by the pizza hut roof and the offbeat location this place means business. The sushi places I frequent don't hold a candle to Sabu. The gyoza looked handmade, each of the rolls had the freshest fish I've tasted on this side of the rocky mountains and the service was great. The gyoza, rose rose roll, spicy tuna sesame roll and the beef bulgogi roll each made a statement. The fish/meat was plentiful and delicious. This is what maki rolls should taste like. <br/ <br/ The waitress was attentive, friendly, asked us what our favorite dish was, and the owner came by personally to ensure we were enjoying our meals. We left our takeout boxes behind and the chef came running after us to return them. <br/ <br/ I am already planning to go back. Don't change a thing Sabu.
I am surprised this restaurant isn't more crowded! The sushi here is delicious and fresh, and the prices are fair. It has quickly become my favorite sushi spot. I have been the only customer here on two separate visits. I recommend giving this place a try!
A for effort. We descended upon Sabu after a karate tournament...We had preordered the food and most everything was ready when we arrived....only three dishes forgotten but the oversight was very quickly corrected. Everyone was very happy with the fare and the service....We may just have to make this an annual post tournament event...thank You Sabu!
