Queen Donair - Edmonton

I had a little problem here with the choice of sauce I asked. I'm visiting twice a week and I haven't had a problem since. Big hamburgers from scratches. Chicken pita is my usual order, no complaints.

A few years back this was my place of choice to stop and get an excellant donair for lunch when passing by Nisku. This time was very different. The donair meat was dry and a little burnt. The lady who was running it acted like explaining something from the menu was so much of an imposition (as was smiling). The place stated free WiFi. When I asked for the password, she threw her hands up to signify she didn't know it and couldn't be bothered to find out. Sounds like the place was busy, right? Wrong, just me at a table. I will say that several people came in to order and take out. As for me, I think I'll go elsewhere next time I pass through.

Visited this restaurant with my family of 10. Staff here prepare the food in front of you similar to the way subway does it. Only problem is they don't use gloves!! Hands on your food, equipment, cash register etc, all with no gloves simutaneously. Our food arrived semi warm and the donair meat was totally all chopped up which ruined it for most of us. I ordered a pizza sub and honest to God had to throw it out it was not fit to eat, it was plainly gross. WE would definitely not return to this restaurant.

I take my family here at least once a month. I have had Donairs, or Gyros, on 4 continents and it ranks in the top two for me. Owner is a very sincere nice man who my child adores. Fantastic Donair. Best in Edmonton by a country mile.

I am completely disgusted by the huge portions of meat I saw at this restaurant. It has been 8 days and I am still thinking about how repulsed I was.
