Our first restaurant bar opened in Marda Loop, Calgary, even way back, and it was comfortable, accessible, and affordable. From the very beginning, OJâs fell in step with exactly what it has always been about - providing a down-to-earth, down the street experience for all. We never take ourselves too seriously. We love good food experienced in the company of true friends, in an atmosphere that fits us like a well-worn pair of jeans. It feels real here, and thatâs just fine by us. No pretense, no frou-frou, just craft beers, approachable wines, and tried-and-true cocktails - all served up with the kind of fresh-made comfort food you crave again and again. To this day, we still hand cut our fries, serve most of our entrées with two sides, and pour our own OJâs beer. So come sit at our bar without having to lower yours.

The hostess last night was super sweet. Made us both feel very welcome. Our server was also a rockstar. Food was great. We had the fish and chips. Definitely coming back!

It had been quite a while since we last dined at an Original Joe's, almost a decade, because my fiancé did not enjoy the food back then. However, we decided to give it another try and he was pleasantly surprised. The food was delicious, the restaurant had a great atmosphere, and the servers took good care of us. We will definitely be returning in the future!
