This restaurant is fantastic. The best sushi I've had in Edmonton. The presentation, taste, and speed were all excellent. The atmosphere is very welcoming and pleasant. I definitely recommend trying the hibachi steak, seafood, and sushi! Thank you for a wonderful dinner. I enjoyed sashimi (snapper, salmon, tuna, octopus, crab), jump rolls, spicy salmon rolls, salmon cream cheese rolls, and a few other rolls that I ca... View all feedback.
What Donovan Reid doesn't like about Hibachi Steak Seafood Sushi:
The food was average at best, bordering on below average. However, the staff was excellent! The bartender/waitress on Friday night, June 23rd, was fantastic, extremely friendly, and delightful. Despite Google listing it as a sushi restaurant, it is actually just a bar serving mediocre Mexican food. Overall, I would give the food a 2 out of 5 rating. View all feedback.
Sushi rice is delicious, hot and perfectly seasoned. sushi was mostly treated. fish was tasty, everyone with clear clean taste. are fair and affordable and the service was perfect.
Awful. All you can eat is a RIP OFF.instead of the server greeting you or any chit chat, she starts the service with you only get 2 pieces of order paper i know food prices went up but who knew ink and paper also.the seafood is still FROZEN. when you bite into ANY of the seafood: octopus, tuna, snapper, salmon, surf clam, etc, you can feel your teeth crunchy down on the icy frost.if your teeth is sensitive to cold, don't order any of their sashimi.by chance you get a piece of food that's thawed out partially, the meat is disintegrating as it falls apart in your mouth, not in a good way at all.there are short ribs on the menu that would've earned this place 1 star but they limit people how many they can order.6 bones per person. even if there's barely meat on the bones, they count it.beware in the spirit of ordering short ribs verbally to save her paper and ink, she loses count of how many short ribs you ordered and begins to recite the rules saying that you are passed your limit (12 24) and i guess she at least allowed the order once she realized her mistake.aka terrible service.if you think chopped scallops is the good stuff at other places called chop chop, you will greatly regret this assumption. it's literally chopped icy mushy scallops, no mayo, because Japanese mayo is probably out of their budget. even Hellman's probably would've been better than nothing.obviously, I'd never go back and I've been telling everyone NOT TO GO THERE unless they enjoy throwing money into the garbage.i hope someone who gives a darn takes over this business. it shouldn't be long before Hibachi goes out of business; not because of Covid.
Sushi here is really good, i recommend the spicy salmon roll. I typically don’t like raw sushi rolls but this one i really enjoyed!! Definitely going to be my go to sushi place
I cannot express my enthusiasm for this place enough. My partner and I ordered here on the recommendation of a coworker, and we've been back a few times since. Everything here is just noticeably better and a cut above anything else in its price range. The sushi rice is perfect, the fish is excellent, the offerings are unique, and the standards are exceptional. Really thrilled to have discovered it!!
Great quality, variety, and value; everything was delicious and arrived speedily, and both the rolls and the sashimi tasted great- would highly recommend checking this place out
