Harvey's / Swiss Chalet - Edmonton

Well Harvey's you'll find it at malls, airports, maybe even just walking down the street. The food is very good there they got tasty hamburgers and hot dogs, delicous chicken fingers. The people who work their have good attitude and are usually really friendly. Harvey's is a good place to just sit down and relax, if your going for lunch Harvey's is a great place to go to. So head on down to Harvey's for lunch or a snack.

My husband and I went to this restaurant to find something to eat just before heading home. I ordered the mushroom, because I love mushrooms and he ordered his regular. We also tried their poutine... Getting to choose my own toppings was pretty awesome and everything was so hot and fresh. Normally when I order poutine at restaurants, either the cheese or fries are cold. This was in no way the case here. And though we got our meal fast, it doesn't feel like just any other fast food restaurant. Highly recommend it.

Back in the 1980's this place had you tell them what to put on the burger. Every other place started doing the same thing many years later. They have their own unique types of burgers and they do taste a little different than the others. Worth checking out if you are looking for a change from the major chains.

This was the worst experience I have every had in my life from a restaurant. I have been a vegan for over 7 years now and was extremely upset by the experience I had. I went the to order a Veggie burger like I have before but not at this location. When I got to my destination to eat it, I realized it was not a veggie burger but in fact a regular burger! I called customer service to see what I could do and to simply let them know of there mistake. Well, I was completely insulted by there manager, asking me what color my burger was like I was stupid. So I went there after work to confront him and it DID NOT go well. He was very rude and insulting, asking me what color the burger....well if a burger is cooked properly shouldn't they all brown. So he brought out there regular burger and a veggie burger telling me that the shape is what is different. When they brought it out the "veggie burger" was a dark brown and their regular burger was YELLOW.....IT WAS YELLOW. At the end of the conversation the manager was throwing the burger at me trying to get me to leave. Not very acceptable!

I have gone to this location a few times, and I always enjoy the meal. The staff are super friendly and a lot of them have been there for years. Great value and food. Try the onion rings.
