Flamingo Restaurant & Lounge - Edmonton

Note: This place is now called Piper's Pub and Pizza. Our family went to Piper's on St. Patrick's Day as a waitress had invited us to come. We were really looking forward to it and in fact, it was decorated really well and the staff also got dressed up. They also had green beer which was great. The only disappointment was that they didn't offer Irish stew for supper. That would have been a nice touch.The only other thing that I would suggest is to change the black menu. We eat there fairly often and given the limited number of items, we are getting pretty tired of the same old thing. How about some fish and chips? That would be good for a pub. Or how about some hot beef/hot chicken or turkey sandwiches? Oh, the toppings on the pizzas are getting a bit sparse. Seems to be less every time we go.

It had been a few years since we were in Edmonton and dined here. Apparently it has changed hands in the intervening period. I longed for one of their pizzas so we went on a Saturday about 2000 hrs. The place was busy with an older crowd but we were seated right away.We ordered the pizza as expected. It wasn't the same as before. However it was delicious, obviously just a bit changed due to new management or chef. No matter, we enjoyed it fully. We will go back again! And they have Guinness so how could we not like it?Pizzas were large and we had some for the next day!

Just left after waiting 15 min on the lounge side with no acknowledgement for food or a drink. Too bad ....

I'm blown away by the new management! Don't worry nothing has changed , it's just gotten better! Service is outstanding, food is quick and delicious and renovations look great. Well done, Piper's.

I don't know if the management or chef changed here, but a place that I have enjoyed for years has suddenly gone downhill. The Pizza that I recently had was not the same quality as what I had enjoyed here for several prior years.
