Elegant Court Restaurant - Edmonton

The reason I gave this restaurant a 4 and not a 5 is because of the decor. This place does look like a diner and is certainly dated and definitely not the prettiest looking spot. That being said I believe their money goes into the quality of their food vs updating their looks. However looks can be deceiving, I would recommend trying this place.The lady who works here I am going to assume is the owner/ partial owner is truly a gem. She is so passionate about what she does and is really invested in making her customers happy. She wants to ensure you enjoy the food and are completely satisfied before you leave. Every time I have been in she is smiling and friendly.I have had a variety of dishes: Salt & Pepper Shrimp, Shrimp & Mixed Greens, Shrimp & Broccoli, Curry Beef, Beef & Broccoli, Ginger beef, Chicken Fried Rice, Green Onion Cakes, Chicken & Mushroom Dish, Spring rolls, Deep Fried Won Tongs & Won Tong soup All very good. The one dish I have tried there that I did not care for was their Chicken Chow Mein ( Hey can't win them all ). Large portions, lots of meat. I've been to many Chinese restaurants where they have used cheap fillers ( Ex. An entire onion ) and skimp out on meat, this place doesn't. I think its important to add that the quality of their meat (beef & shrimp) are very good. Almost forgot! I have dietary issues and she has always been super accommodating to meet my needs.If you have some time at lunch or want a meal to bring home this place will definitely hit the spot.

The restaurant is a very quaint little restaurant. Inside it looks very much like a café with not too much decorations. But that is not what is important to me.To me, the quality of the food is the most important thing about a restaurant.And the food here is fantastic. Easily the best Chinese food I've had in Edmonton. The vegetables are all fresh. The food is cooked well. There is no MSG which is a very big thing for me and my family.

The food was amazing. We were visiting from Fort McMurray and it’s been a long time since we had Chinese food this good. We ordered delivery to our hotel and the food arrived perfectly hot. The portions were huge. The wonton soup is the best...ever. Wonderfully flavoured broth and wontons not salty at all. This is our restaurant of choice when we come to Edmonton

Ordered from this restaurant this evening. Ordered separate items and the woman punched my order in as a combo, which I did not order, charging me more money. Then they forgot my fried rice. Called to let them know and they said they were sending...it. Called again mins later and the woman on phone said that if we wanted our fried rice we’d have to come pick it up. Wow.... no customer service what so ever! The woman continued to argue with me on the phone and until I got so frustrated, I just hung up. Do not order from here. They will screw up your order and then deny deny deny. They also advertised free delivery and they charged us

We thoroughly enjoyed our first visit to this modest restaurant, which may not look impressive at first sight. However, the service was exceptional, the food deliciously fresh and tasty, and the prices quite reasonable. The ambiance is not great for a romantic meal but the...restaurant gives excellent value for the cost. We will definitely return again!
