What Tiiu Alijoki doesn't like about Daawat Authentic East Indian Cuisine Ltd:
under new line daawat has gone downhill. Buffet tablets were empty and not refilled, eating was cold, and service was slow due to lack of waitresses that worked so hard. tipps must go directly to the waiters, not management. I had a groupon and my son was craving butter chicken. We ordered that plus another dish with rice and naan. Wow. I haven't tasted really good butter chicken like that in a long time! My son and I will be back again for sure! View all feedback.

Small cozy diner on Highway 62 in Alpena, AR Great homemade food, chicken and dumplings are to die for.

read moreDaawat, a once popular restaurant, is now facing some challenges with complaints about the buffet being empty and cold, along with slow service. However, amidst these issues, there are still some shining reviews. One customer raved about the amazing butter chicken and plans to return, while another praised the generous portions and value for money. Another reviewer had a great experience with Skip the Dishes delivery, noting the delicious food and accommodating spice levels. A group who dined in with a reservation for the buffet had a positive experience with attentive service and a private space. On the other hand, a long-time customer was disappointed with the changes they noticed in the food and service, indicating possible new ownership. Finally, a buffet skeptic was pleasantly surprised by Daawat, finding many tasty options for their mostly vegetarian family and a friendly atmosphere. Overall, Daawat seems to be a mixed bag with a variety of experiences, but there are still positive aspects to be found for those looking to enjoy authentic Indian cuisine.
