Our waiter informed us the burger was perhaps too large for one female so suggested we split it. We took his advice and enjoyed the wild mushroom bisque accompanied by a nice white wine. I enjoyed #99's white wine which is not available everywhere. We promised to return and try a dessert sometime soon. Our waiter was informative and pleasant but not overbearing. More people should try Cocoa's. View all feedback.
What Midge Lloyd Mirabile doesn't like about Cocoa's Restaurant & Lounge:
Menu had limited items, however the food that was ordered was good. Calamari, salmon, burger. Service was slow considering we we the only ones at the restaurant, for majority of the time that we were there. Very quite place at the time, being Saturday night before an Oilers game. Not much of an antmospher. Could use at least music to bring it something. View all feedback.
I must give credit to the chef. The chicken cordon bleu was absolutely delicious. The atmosphere was very cozy and the service was exceptional. The pricing was also very reasonable. We have always had a great dining experience at Cocoa's!
The food was fantastic, Anna provided excellent service in taking our order. I would highly recommend this restaurant.
The service at this restaurant was excellent. The waiter was friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. The chef even came out to ensure that we were satisfied with our meals. The food was delicious and the prices were reasonable.
It was the worst dining experience we have ever had! Two servers for the entire restaurant/ long waits for drink and dinner order/ had to ask for refills The restaurant is tired and requires a serious renovation. People arriving, seat themselves and not be waited on and leave within ten minutes. Three separate couples came in and left in a one hour period, as they were not served. Fountain pop had a funny taste and was replaced with a can of pop. Limited menu Calamari was beyond greasy, just warm and tasted terrible. Burger and pizza arrived just warm. Pizza tasted like a frozen pizza with a tad more cheese placed on top. Asked where bathrooms were and was given a key fob to use the bathroom in the hallway of the Delta Hotel. It was beyond disgusting to be given a dirty key fob after a unappetizing meal. The only positive were the waiters at the restaurant. You could tell that they were embarrassed of the food and were very apologetic. They wanted to be more attentive to their guests but they physically could not as they were understaffed.
They are under renovations so this review is based upon current conditions. Came in and immediately wanted to leave as the lights were so bright it was like being in a cafeteria. Ambience was terrible, then menu was very Limited (1 starter, 1 red wine, small bar) but parents were already seated with a drink so decided to stay. The food however was fresh and tasty. Pizza was delicious, butter chicken smooth and spicy, calamari I am told was good too. Prices were very reasonable. Menu on the web is not what they are currently offering. If ambiance is better once renovations are complete, would come back again.
