Blue Plate Diner - Edmonton

I've been coming to Blue Plate consistently now for over 6 years and the food is always not only delicious but also unique.

My favourite breakfast place downtown! Love their unique menu, always delicious food whether it's sweet or savoury.

I have come here several times and have always found the experience to be very good.

Late lunch before the Lady Gaga concert. Cold glass of pinot grigio and a mouthwatering meatloaf sandwich accompanied by hot salty french fries was my choice. My friend, a huge burger with old cheddar cheese and the delicious fries. Service was excellent. Will go back and recomend. Ambience was old office building repainted with great aircon andsooo laid back. Felt like I was at home...but...I did not cook.

My family is in Edmonton for a wedding and there were a dozen of us who wanted to get lunch together. I found this place using Poynt on my phone and the reviews looked promising. we called them with no notice - it was lunch on a Friday so we didn't expect much luck. They told us to come by in 30 minutes.When we arrived they had a place set for us and were very welcome. We were looked after by the person I believe is the owner of the restaurant.The menu had a good selection of sandwiches, burgers, salads, and starters. Everyone in our group found something they liked. I had the grilled cheese sandwich with jalapeno peppers with a side salad - it was perfect for lunch. Everyone enjoyed their meals. Costs were average to slightly above average - but were completely in line with the food and service provided. I definitely recommend this place - 5 stars.
