We were led to our t... read more When I approached it looked like it wasn't busy from the outside. When I entered I was met by one of the most lovely blonde hostesses ever. We were led to our table and service was above and beyond. I have a lot of favorite Italian restaurants I visit around north America and this is in the top 10. The food was fabulous. Prices reasonable.. had two bottles of chianti so that increased our bill.

The pasta was fresh and cooked to perfection. The addition of Parmesan and freshly ground pepper was a nice touch. The ink in the linguine al nere lent a subtle flavor, and the cream and sauce beneath it were outstanding. The caffeine affogato boasted a rich espresso flavor, which was fantastic!

I mention this because our experience was significantly impacted by what we observed while waiting nearly 20 minutes for our bill. We were seated facing the kitchen/bar, and I noticed our server spending most of his time joking around with other staff and standing by the bar instead of attending to customers. I watched him for almost 20 minutes without seeing him attending to drink or food orders. We asked for our bill three times, as he forgot on the first two occasions. This really detracted from our enjoyment, which is unfortunate because the food was truly delicious.
