It was surprisingly quiet during lunch, but the service was excellent and the food was satisfactory. I noticed the menu was somewhat limited, particularly for those who aren't fans of beets. I hope to see more customers there on my next visit. View all feedback.
What JJJJ doesn't like about Alberta Kitchen:
The restaurant was very quiet for lunch time. We had a reservation as we had a large group and expected it to be busy, but we were one of two tables there. overall, i would say it was okay. would only recommend if you need something close by and don't want to wait for a table. View all feedback.
Met a business colleague for lunch. The restaurant was almost empty for noon during the week. The decor is nice and the food average but nothing special.
A very nice restaurant. I liked the simple menu and the food was wonderful. Ambience was fine and the service was good yet could have been quicker.

Unfortunately, the restaurant in its current form doesn't measure up to the previous restaurant that was there, Tavern 1903. The room is a great spot for a great restaurant in the centre of downtown. But the menu is uninspired and limited, the food was fine, but not really good. Same with the service. Nothing particularly wrong, just nothing really great about the place (except the room). It's telling that on a Saturday evening in December, the place was 2/3 empty.
I have a weakness for places that do anything with bone marrow as well as these guys do. The pork cheeks were fantastic as well and the cocktails available at the bar never disappoint.
