African Safari Restaurant - Edmonton

The food was good, but nothing special. I have had better african food in a lot of different places which made me a fan if this cuisine but this restaurant was nothing special. Tried camel meat for the first time, but could not tell the difference between that and beef muskalo. The server could not explain the menu well and we ended up giving away a free plate of rice. I wuld give them a Overall rating of 3 out of 5.

Like previously mentioned here, the area is not at all nice and makes you think twice, the restaurant itself is simple but if you can get past those 2 things the food is actually really good. You get without even asking mango juice that is really good, and leftover (in my opinion) soup which is a great idea and was actually really good. They bring you a full plate of rice and then the meat you order comes in a different plate so easy to share. We actually realized looking at the menu the sell camel meat so we ordered it and it was actually really good, Couldn't really taste a big difference. Great food and I would suggest you go for it.

I love this place like there is no tomorrow.Food is soooooo good!!!!! Nice staff & did I say food is GOOD!! Every time I visit Edmonton I have to always come here for lunch or dinner. Showed it to some friends and they are proud addicts of this place now :)Free soup & free unlimited mango juice can't go wrong with free & good service. Visit this place and you too will be an addict.

Went with my family to try something new, and we impressed with the atmosphere (murals and decor), food (4 course meal with delicious spices) and price (lots of food for a reasonable amount).

This restaurant has excellent Ethiopian food. Firstly you are given a delicious soup, a small salad and a pitcher of mango juice. All tasty. The breads are freshly made. I had a chicken combo which was spicy and filling. The cost is reasonable. The decor is simple but do not concern yourself as the food is where it counts.If you are looking for something off the beaten track, this restaurant is worth a try.
