Our first time here was lunch today and glad we stopped in! Split a pulled pork sandwich and two ribs (can’t go to a new bbq place without trying ribs) with a side of potato salad. Ribs were on point and we enjoyed the sandwich. Potato salad wasn’t like mom made, but not bad. We’ll return! Edited to add we went to the 2nd street location View all feedback.
What Edward Taylor doesn't like about Texlahoma Bbq:
Went to the Waterloo location and got a rib dinner. As someone who smokes ribs often, I am curious how ribs can be smoked with no smoke flavor and no smoke rings. Ribs flavor and texture reminded me of baked ribs. Flavor was meh. Beans were good but they left off the second side so can't comment on the slaw. Would not recommend that location and I will not be returning there and likey will avoid the other location as... View all feedback.

Your employees are always on their phone talking to others when they shouldn't. It's poor management if you ask me!

For what you pay the portions are tiny! Our brisket smelled rotten! Terrible after taste. We drove out of our way to try this, will never go again.
Cough eyes watering cough They sure love black pepper, don’t they? It’s on just about everything they make. Personally, I like to taste the meat’s natural flavor. But as it was, I almost couldn’t tell the turkey from the sausage due to the overpowering coating of pepper in the meats and also the sauces. If that’s your thing, more power to ya. But your wife may want you to brush your teeth before you get home.
