Not sure why this place gets any hate. The food is excellent ? it's that small batch hole in the wall excellency you get with non-buffet style GOOD chinese food. The staff are friendly and helpful, and the prices are perfectly reasonable per portion as well. Also shout out to their egg rolls and crab rangoons. Top quality?? View all feedback.
What Batchh doesn't like about New China House On E 2nd St.:
Chicken was under cooked.Shrimp Fried rice was just white rice with shrimp added…BASIC AFFried wontons were ok at best if that but my appetite was thrown off after seeing the chicken and fried rice. I feel like the chicken I had when I had Covid and couldn’t taste anything tasted looked way better….like I want to let it go but whoever made that damn chicken…. needs to be fired and never hired at a cooking establishme... Food is consistently fresh and hot. Service is second to none; they take great pride in a great product. It’s a hidden gem that I want to keep hidden but have to give credit where credit is due. Hot n sour soup and egg drop soup are our go-to’s along with the Four seasons and chicken Lo Mein.
They say the best chinese restaurants average 3.5 stars, because so many Americans are expecting Panda Express. The food is delicious, the servings are plentiful, and the service is gracious and expedient.
