I was quite disappointed with both the quality and quantity of the food considering the high prices. They added a 20% service charge for meals like this? We ordered the vegetable dumplings, which were underfilled. The cauliflower Manchurian was overly greasy—just way too much oil! The aftertaste was unpleasant. The Thai egg fried rice was merely ordinary fried rice with eggs, lacking any vegetables, and the portion size was so small for $20 that it wouldn't even be enough for one person. Overall, it was a very unsatisfactory experience!
Please note that they automatically add a 20% service charge to your final bill, regardless of the size of your table. While this can be seen as a tip, I hope you experience outstanding service to make it worthwhile. I’m deducting one star for this automatic charge and the fact that customers are not given the option to choose their own gratuity.
This restaurant was quite disappointing, with the exception of the gobi manchuri, which was fantastic (the only reason I'm giving it a one-star rating). We ordered the Hakka noodles and chili paneer, both of which tasted like something out of a frozen meal. I was shocked at how much they charged for such low-quality food. I've heard great reviews about this place, so I'm not sure if it's due to the pandemic or inflation, but it certainly didn't live up to the hype. To make matters worse, they accidentally served us tofu instead of paneer without even informing us! We suspected something was off, but they let us eat it and only asked at the end of the meal if everything was okay. When we mentioned that the paneer tasted like tofu, the staff member casually admitted that they had mixed up our order with someone else's and seemed surprised we hadn't said anything sooner. Wow! We requested a refund, which they honored, but this raises serious concerns. What if it had been meat? (I'm vegetarian). This level of dishonesty is completely unacceptable.
Ming is our top choice for upscale Indian Chinese cuisine, especially when we want something beyond the fast food options at Mogul Express. We always order their hakka noodles and fried rice, which are perfectly smoky, tangy, and flavorful. The sides we pair with the carbs—chili, sweet and sour, and Manchurian—along with the vegetarian, chicken, and fish dishes, are all outstanding.
Update (August 2022): I was quite disappointed with the chicken dishes I tried today. The chili chicken tasted like it had been re-fried, losing its tenderness, which is unacceptable for a $20 dish. On top of that, the noodles were overly greasy. Ming has now become one of the hit-or-miss Indo-Chinese spots in NJ for me. I'm lowering my rating accordingly.
Ming's restaurant presents a mixed bag of experiences, particularly highlighting the clash between service and food quality. Diners lament a mandatory 20% service charge, which can overshadow the dining experience if the service does not meet expectations. While some dishes, like Gobi Manchurian, receive high praise, others, such as Hakka noodles and Chili Paneer, disappoint with low-quality flavors reminiscent of frozen meals. Issues like incorrect orders and inconsistent portion sizes further mar the dining experience. However, loyal patrons champion Ming's unique Indo-Chinese offerings, especially for those craving flavorful dishes, making it a mixed but intriguing culinary destination.

The food was quite disappointing. The Cottage Cheese Veggie Skewers included only four pieces of paneer and just one small piece of bell pepper. The description promised a variety of vegetables, but it definitely did not live up to that expectation.
There are many vegan options available! We tried the Vegetable Manchurian, Sweet Corn Soup, Chili Tofu, and Hakka Noodles. The Vegetable Manchurian was fantastic; however, the staff faced a few challenges...
My first visit to Ming was truly memorable and definitely won’t be my last! I enjoyed a Thursday evening dinner where everything exceeded my expectations. The service was quick and attentive, and my friend, who had been there previously, also spoke highly of the restaurant and its menu.

We ordered the Vegetable Manchurian and Chili Garlic Noodles, and they were simply wonderful! We asked for them to be spicy, and they met our expectations perfectly. If you're craving Indo-Chinese cuisine, this is definitely the place to order from!
