Ferraro's
Description
Ferraro’s, a renovated Italian restaurant in Edison, NJ, captivates diners with a mix of old and new recipes, maintaining the beloved flavors from its predecessor. While many patrons praise the generous portions and delicious offerings like the grandmothers pizza and chicken Pinocchio, others have reported inconsistency in certain dishes and service. Complaints about specific items lacking flavor and preparation issues highlight a divide in experiences. Nevertheless, the welcoming atmosphere and attentive staff, coupled with weekly specials and community involvement, contribute to many regulars feeling like family. Overall, Ferraro’s remains a popular choice for satisfying Italian fare in the area.

The food was excellent, and the staff were very friendly. I ordered for pickup, and one of the employees even brought the food to my car.
The 1061 sauce with rigatoni was the best pasta I have ever had. Very creamy. Very chill staff
I really enjoy the food here. I have had a decent variety of dishes here and they’re all very good it’s our go to Italian restaurant within a 3 mile radius. I give it 4 stars because the only dish I would say avoid is the Francese. I’ve ordered it 2x. 1st time pasta came in a separate dish in marinara sauce. 2nd time pasta was under the chicken but there wasn’t much francese sauce, sauce was runny lacking flavor, might as well have been buttered noodles. So that’s the only negative thing I can possibly say
Finally getting around to writing a review. Way past due. We were regular customers of the old Ferraro's and were heartbroken when the owner Giulio died and then later the restaurant closed. We were so glad when the restaurant was renovated and reopened. We couldn't be happier with the new owners and staff and also the fact that a lot of the old menu items and recipes, including some of the cooks have also remained. And so has the house salad with cheese and pizza bread that comes with the meal! The food, both old and new items are all wonderful. There are weekly lunch specials and weekend dinner specials. They are always fresh and flavorful. We are now regulars of the new Ferraro's and eat there a couple times a week. Not only do we enjoy the food but we also enjoy the staff and the owners. They have become family. We were there last night and I had the Veal Francese and my husband had the chicken special. The veal was very tender as was the chicken. The Pistachio sauce on the chicken was delicious and I just love the lemony Francese sauce. I highly recommend trying Ferraro 1061. You will not be disappointed!
