Really good food, both pastas were spot on! This is a true Italian family run restaurant, for location, quantity and quality the prices are great. The only constructive feedback, which is very much personal preference-I would’ve preferred a mix of green and black olives. Full marks!
We ordered a pescatora seafood pasta and fried calamari and tiramisu very pleased with everything and the warm ambience of the restaurant. Wonderful service as well! I am visiting from London where I live and I will definitely be back next time I’m in Scotland!
We had a really delicious meal here. I had pasta with a rich creamy tomato sauce, which ranks as one of the best I've had in Scotland. I've walked past here so often, but I'm so glad we decided to go in!
The best Italian food in Edinburgh. Chead and affordable, I really recommend the delicious pasta!

Popped into this small restaurant for a pre theatre meal. The front of house staff were very welcoming. On placing our order we were slightly disappointed that they had no mussels and focaccia and bruschetta did not float our boat, especially when we were planning to have pizza. The calamari we ordered appeared to be frozen, but was edible and the best of a poor selection ! Appetisers were served at the same time as the starters, which all appeared very rushed…! The pizza that was presented was freshly cooked and was in fact tasty enough ! This establishment is relatively busy, however as it’s such a “Small” restaurant one gets the feeling of a sardine in a tin, especially when the waitresses are passing the table regularly to serve other tables ! Regardless of these few small niggles, this establishment is probably the best of a bad bunch on Clerk Street, as this restaurant appeared cleaner than some of the others. It would make such a difference to the dining experience if the attention to detail was put in place and more ambiance was installed, as the “Just Eat” delivery guys project more of a cafeteria image than a restaurant. Delivery pick ups to the back door !!!!

Absolutely delicious! We were excited for a meal here and we were not let down. The pizza was amazing, thin and flavorful. We also tried the linguine vongole and the special, porcini tagliatelle. Both dishes were flawless, perfectly seasoned and incredibly rich and tasty. It was a calm weekday evening, so they even let us dine with our well-behaved dog. They also had a great variety of drinks and desserts. This place serves authentic Italian food that will definitely have you coming back for more!
I stopped by this restaurant for a meal on Saturday evening. The food was delicious, the staff was polite and friendly. Despite its small size, I found it charming and cozy. I would give it a 10/10 for a wonderful dining experience.
I literally have never written a trip advisor review but felt like I had to for this amazing place. We wondered into this restaurant without a booking, having not seen any reviews. You can tell just from the outset it is a proper authentic family ran business. The restaurant is owed by a gorgeous couple Maria and Stefano who I had the absolute pleasure of meeting and chatting to. The food is made scratch by them and I believe their children. They were all so lovely and kind. The food itself was incredible. Absolutely delightful and good portion sizes. We had a good selection of different starters and mains. I had the amatriciana pasta dish which was 10/10. We also had a bottle of wine to share and also cocktails (best mojito I’ve ever drank) and also limoncello. Absolutely stunning. Everything was very reasonably priced for the quality. The atmosphere was lush and honestly it was just made so nice by the fact that the people running it are incredible. Go for them alone. I would say my favorite experience in a restaurant ever…..and I’ve been to loads. Will be returning xxxx

I have been a regular customer at this restaurant since it was known as nyam nyams.
This Italian restaurant, run by a family, definitely lives up to its accolades.
