the dishes I had were excellent, and a good selection of aromen and textures, even if they were only from the vegetarian options. meat fish options were also very pleasant. service cut, but friendly. View all feedback.

An adorable place. Fantastic food, you have to try their Croquettes, they left us in love.
Our favourite restaurant in Edinburgh. Taken too long to review but we come here regularly. Delicious, thoughtful, fresh food and amazing wine. Fabulous service and atmosphere. A hidden gem!
Great little restaurant! Food is quick to arrive and it is delicious! My favourite was the lamb chops (Cordero).
The freshest, tastiest, tenderest most perfect tapas I ever had. Everything was impeccable

The food 6 dishes inc. dessert) between 2 was ample and very yummy. The wine 'Sophie ', an SB from SA) was a pleasant surprise. Service was good and the atmosphere picked up as the place got busier. I 'd certainly consider going again and it 's not always I 'd say that...
Really authentic Spanish tapas with absolutely delicious food from start to finish. Every dish was full of flavour, freshly prepared, and felt like proper traditional tapas rather than the usual generic versions you often get. The atmosphere also added to the experience and made it feel much more authentic overall. The customer service was excellent throughout — friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming without being over the top. The staff were happy to help with recommendations and made the whole experience feel relaxed and enjoyable. Easily one of the best tapas places I’ve been to and I’ll definitely be back.
Almost every dish was extremely delicious! Even the juices put a smile on our faces. The desserts are also amazing. One of the best meals out! Looking forward to the next time.

After I grew up in South Africa, I was thrilled when I was invited to go with this new South African/Portuguese hybrid restaurant. this place is hidden on a side street in greatcross and unfortunately the decor does nothing for it inside and outside. if I were looking for something to eat and go, this place happened, I would certainly not stop. it reminds me of a decorating street side shebeen in South Africa with petty colors, tired interior, bad paintings on the wall and chalkboards covered with terrible scribbles of drinks and dessert menus. (But maybe that's good intentionally, I'd like to think anyway! . Don't let you get away from here. on a strange way, for all his bad points on...read more
Delicious. I recommend the veggie options, simple dishes executed delicious, dessert was very decadent while the tapas were healthy. I had never really haggis, but the Veggie version was delicious! great selection of beer. beautiful decor and very welcoming owners.
Usually when we drunkenly harrass restaurants for food at half 9 on a Monday night, they're about to close and we're the only customers. I thought the same would be true for Indaba as it's on a side-street in Tollcross, but there were a couple of other tables happily tucking in. I ordered two glasses of Chenin Blanc (although we didn't need it) and we got on with ordering our tapas.

What an amazing meal at Indaba, truly delicious selection. Owner and staff very personable, explaining South African/Spanish dishes thoroughly. Ambience good with customers suggesting plates to others. Relaxing eatery. Owner advised 5 tapas plates for 2 people and was spot on. Each plate was a delight culminating in an extra plate sticky toffee pudding ice cream, wow whee! Back for more in September.
