Reviews - Abida
Reviews summary
Abida offers a varied selection of Indian and Thai cuisine, with highlights including freshly cooked dishes and accommodating service. Diners appreciate the friendly staff and BYOB option, making it a favorite for family outings. However, recent reviews reveal significant issues, such as inconsistent flavors, delayed deliveries, and missing items from orders, leading to disappointment among many patrons. While some commend the quality and portion sizes, others lament a noticeable decline in service and taste compared to its opening days. As Abida works to resolve these challenges, it remains a contender worth considering with caution.

Our first visit for a family get together and it was wonderful! Food was delicious, excellent range of choices, good value and the staff were friendly and attentive. Lovely atmosphere, comfortable and clean and we loved the pristine white table linen. Would highly recommend and definitely hope to go back when next in the area. View all feedback.

The food is delicious, the staff is friendly, and the atmosphere is wonderful. They offer a fantastic selection of dishes at reasonable prices. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a great curry – it makes for a very enjoyable dining experience!
I dined here on a Tuesday night when there was only one other guest, so it was quite peaceful. We chose several dishes from the tapas-style menu for our group of four. All the curries we sampled were delightful, with well-cooked lamb and chicken and a nice variety of spice levels. I would definitely recommend the food. However, the chairs were somewhat uncomfortable!
We had a fantastic experience at the restaurant. Our group of six reserved the small function room, which turned out to be perfect for our needs. We were able to relax, enjoy our meal, and chat comfortably while listening to the music. The service was outstanding; I truly couldn't find anything to criticize.
We thoroughly enjoyed our meal in Abida, it was just such a shame that the restaurant seemed so empty. When we arrived at 7 there were a few other diners but I don't think anybody arrived after us and we were the only people left well before the end of our meal. I don't really understand why because we all loved it.

Mine chicken in a thick sweet Heinz beans tomato soup based curry with some chilli thrown in for spice. No sour, extremely sweet. Son said his his lamb was not bad but the curry was flavourless. Rice bizzare! Yellow and no flavour whatsoever bland Vegetable Pakora no salad, no raita but a thick mustard based teaspoon of gunge. Over cooked and greasy. So sorry to be so negative but never, ever again. I’ll be heading 100m up the road to the Bangla Kitchen in future.
Pakora was in a box full of oil. Chicken dry . Currys not good. Naan full of grease. Won't be using again
When this place first opened it was so good sadly it’s went downhill badly. We ordered food and was told it would be 50 minutes then we get a email saying it’s going to be another 30 minutes so phoned restaurant and simply put we were lied to. Girl on the phone said it was out for delivery and would would be another 10 minutes then it was 30 minutes ended up another hour don’t believe it had been made never mind out for delivery. Not ever using them again which is a pity as they used to be so good now sadly so bad.
Used to recommend as a takeaway, can 't fault the food, but yet again missing items from order, phoned twice to get 'no problem ' thencut off, and as expected no delivery or refund of missing order! Terrible customer service!
I dined at a restaurant called Prana, and it truly is a magical place. The decor is stunning, and the staff is fantastic. As for the food, it's tough to put into words just how amazing it is. The menu is wonderful, and everything is cooked to perfection. We tried the monk's curry and tandoori duck; both dishes were delicious, but the duck was absolutely incredible. It's definitely worth a visit to experience this place!
