Contribute FeedbackThe restaurant at the National Gallery offers a tranquil setting and attentive service. The menu features delicious options like Cullen Skink and Haddock and Chips. While prices are on the higher side, the quality of the food and ambiance make it worth it. The three-tiered afternoon tea is a hit, with a good selection of cakes and sandwiches. The location within the gallery complex provides a quiet escape from the usual cafe crowds. Overall, a great addition to a visit to the gallery, leaving diners feeling content and satisfied. A perfect stop for a special treat in a beautiful setting.
I found it to be a lovely experience of fine dining with a relaxing atmosphere of sophistication and friendly service that couldn't have been more exemplary. The food itself was absolutely delicious. Found my new treat spot and will be returning.
I had never been to this Café or even knew it existed I spotted it from the Xmas Market in Princes Street Gardens I would advise you to enter and turn right into the stylish Gallery Restaurant and Bar. Here you can relax with...
We had breakfast at The Gallery Restaurant on the 7th June 2016. It was a beautiful sunny day. So the location and weather were a perfect way to start our day before walking up Arthur's Seat,The restaurant was busy which hampered the service a little.Overall the food was good.
We had lunch here before visiting the gallery. The food was very good and the service efficient. I don't recommend the elderflower cocktail because it was just cordial with sparkling water and bits of cucumber. I ate pork and enjoyed it.
Pleasant meeting and eating place in the superb national gallery with its magnificent collection. Lovely outlook, pleasant ambience and attentive staff. Good range of coffees and other drinks plus all sorts of scones etc. Very nice indeed, spoiled a little only by the steep prices.
