Place was clean and fresh and the food was delicious! The team was super friendly, and even warned us that our food may take a few extra minutes since we came right at opening. View all feedback.
What Carolina Cartwright doesn't like about Build A Burger:
We tried this place for the first time, my partner always asks about the portions because we don't like to overeat, if meals are big enough we like to split them. The employee told him portions were small, but when we arrived home we got too much food that we didn't eat entirely. If you like to eat a lot, well this is your place, if you like to be healthy, and are cautious about what you eat maybe this is not your pl... View all feedback.

Ordered the Rick burger today for lunch added a fried egg (since I didn't have breakfast in the morning) and it was DELICIOUS!!!! The customer service was excellent!! Being a food critic and having worked in the restaurant industry for more than 10 years, as well Chick FIL A, I must say that I was really satisfied with my meal. Keep up the good work in the quality and customer service!!!
I went to Build a Burger with my Dad and son (three generations). It is located at 3601 South Closer Boulevard in Edinburg. The decor is definitely laid back and a bit low budget but still works. Dad ordered the kid burger and it comes with fries. My son ordered a build your own, he likes lettuce and guacamole, and a side of garlic aioli fries. I ordered the Jalapeno Popper burger(it comes with two bacon wrapped, cheese filled jalapenos) and a Seattle Hot Dog. I also ordered a side of chili cheese fries and fried pickles to share. I never received the chili cheese fries, another group of customers arrived right after us, so I guess the cooks were to busy to finish my order. The fried pickles were cooked right, but were a little greasy at the bottom where they were sitting in a small pool of oil. The cooks definitely need to learn about draining them before serving them. They do make paper trays and paper towels designed for draining fried food items. But honestly I never needed to use either when I used to cook. My dad said his burger was OK, my son had the same comment. I have to say the same, my pattie kinda of thin and was not juicy. The Seattle Hot dog was pretty good, juicy sausage covered in cream cheese, and smothered with onions cooked one of the ways I Luv, thick sliced and grilled. Would I drive all the way over there to eat again. For the Dog maybe, for a hamburger definitely not. But you be the judge.
Got a A1 burger and fries… wanted to like this place but won’t be a place I’ll be coming back to. Pros: food came out quickly, staff was polite. Cons: burgers and fries were seriously under seasoned. Just tasted like ground beef and bread I’m not sure if this was done on purpose “quality meat needs little seasoning” thing, but I ended up grabbing salt and pepper packets to season my meal. Whataburger’s sweet and spicy burger is a similar burger for the same price. several light fixtures that were non stop flickering, gave me and my kid a headache. I saw they’re opening in Wesalco but if it’s the same as it is here, I won’t be rushing to go visit anytime soon. If these things can be fixed, I would definitely consider returning, there’s certainly potential here.
