the food was delicious. I had the ochre tail plate, not the best I had, but did not definitiw the worst. the ochs themselves were quite small, the tear was somehow al dente, but edible. so everything is not bad in everything. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Hotpot Jamaican Takeout:
I tried calling twice but there was no answer. I decided to visit the restaurant on Monday morning after realizing that no one was picking up the phone. The girl working there told me she was not the chef and seemed to have no knowledge of the menu. We were really looking forward to trying their Jamaican breakfast, but the lack of communication was disappointing. My 11-year-old son was especially let down. It's a sha... View all feedback.
I had to come back and update until this is rectified. I purchased a large oxtail and never have I ever seen so much fat and literally only 2 pieces of oxtail?this is so disrespectful to me. I really like the owner too, and I know it was the staff that did this . SMH
Hands down the best Jamaican Oxtails I ever had! I literally did my happy dance when I took a bite. The restaurant cooks/owners took joy in seeing it! Very friendly and great portion sizes! I don?t eat a lot of but my food lasted me three days and was awesome every day! I most definitely will be going back!
Wow! There is a stunning flavor profile in all of their delicious food! I try to make my own jerk chicken at home and I just can't match the sensational flavor, no matter the recipe I use. I am grateful for this restaurant because it truly raises my spirits with their great food! The jerk chicken, curry chicken, oxtail, salt fish, callaloo, and cabbage are all amazing. I am going to work my way through the menu this year. This a great place for food-obsessed dieters because you can skip the rice and peas for extra veggies. Thank you Hotpot for making my palate and tummy so happy!
I had a very pleasant phone takeout ordering process. The order was prepared in a timely fashion and accurately put together. All of the food was amazing and portions were very large. My favorite dishes from the order were the curry goat and the brow stew chicken. The flavors in the jerk goat were great however it was very spicy. I will defininatly return to try other dishes.
I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food at this restaurant, especially compared to other Caribbean restaurants in the area. I ordered the coco bread jerk chicken sandwich, and it was fantastic. I also tried the rice and beans (peas?) and 1/4 jerk chicken, both of which were delicious. However, my favorite part of the meal was the sorrel drink, which tasted incredibly authentic. This was the best Jamaican food I've had at a restaurant, and it reminded me of the homemade meals I've had from my Jamaican friends.
