Reviews - Chipotle Mexican Grill
Reviews summary
Chipotle in Edgewater, MD, is a mixed bag of experiences. While some customers rave about outstanding service and fresh food, many lament a decline in quality and staff professionalism. Complaints about meager portion sizes, stale items, and burnt dishes are common, leading to a once-loyal clientele feeling let down. Frequent patrons express understanding of occasional errors, yet frustration grows over evident mismanagement. The location's atmosphere is impacted by inconsistent service and operational efficiency, prompting diners to reconsider their visits. Despite this, a few staff members shine, proving that hope remains for revitalizing this establishment's reputation.

Hilariously bad. Ordered a quesadilla with three sides. Chipotle made me a soup out of the three sides (which were supposed to be packaged in separate containers) and no quesadilla. A toddler could have done better.
Really sad to see how fast the quality of this location has gone downhill. They stop cooking new food hours before they close ? it has become completely normal to show up at 7 PM to find them out of steak, chicken, or both and whatever they do have is old, dry, and overcooked. The staff barely seems to care and hardly interacts with the customers outside of one or two standoutemployees. In the past, I?ve regularly driven passed two other locations because this one was the best. Now, it?s the worst.
They had no meat.. the customer service sucked. the guy who was putting my order together acted like he didnt wanna help me.. he kept rolling his eyes he kept asking me over over again this is all right? made me feel like i was a burden on them? nevergoing there again just because of the customer service
I went to this Chipotle at 8:45 PM and when I got there I was gonna get the usual of white rice, steak and chicken bowls. Waited, and got up to the counter and they told me there was no chicken or steak for the rest of the night. Why if there?s still75 minutes that the restaurant is still open that there is no meat?! Had to sub-miss myself to Taco Hell. ???????
The guy working behind the counter was very nice but the manager there she was mean and rude and doubled down when the guy mentioned I asked for the soft taco shells on the side because they would get soggy and insisted that I can't do that even whenother Chipotles I go to have. Not my first problem with this Chipotle either but my wife asked for Chipotle after a long day ofwork.

We have ordered from this Chipotle twice, and both times the food arrived cold, as if it had been refrigerated. We don’t have this problem with other local restaurants, so it appears to be an issue specific to this location.
The food is absolutely amazing, but they have gotten my order wrong a few times, so I’m giving it 4 stars.
The beef was cooked perfectly! I just wish there was more lettuce. Overall, the meal was delicious.

The customer service I received today was OUTSTANDING! Jennifer, Brizzy, Monica and Carla were brilliant... the food was also quite excellent! The staff checked everything for freshness just before I ordered... amazing experience... will surely return
I'm here regularly. Today was something out and some people have the wrong online order, I included. It's the only time it happened to have been at this place at least 20 times. Errors happen, and we could all use more patience in our lives. Staff are always helpful and work very hard. I know they do their best and that deserves 5 stars! Thank you for so many meals you have made for me!
The employee behind the counter was very friendly, but the manager was rude and unkind. When the employee told the manager that I asked about getting the soft taco shells on the side to prevent them from getting soggy, the manager insisted that it wasn’t allowed, even though other Chipotles have accommodated this. This isn’t my first issue with this location, but my wife still wanted to stop by after a long day at work.
This location is the reason we eat Chipotle maybe twice a year instead of the twice a month like we used to. We moved to Edgewater MD about 4 years ago and this place has been awful since jump (so no, Covid is not a valid excuse for the shi**y management of this place). If you're in the mood for horrible customer service, day old looking food, and small portion sizes for an always increasing price ... This place is for you! I genuinely can't say which is more off-putting, the food quality/portions or the almost comically unprofessional staff and management. A 3 star rating with horrible reviews spanning YEARS tells me that corporate doesn't care at all about the opinions of it's customers.
Update 10/6 I'm really disappointed, and I shouldn't be because it's fast food, but I'm disappointed because they've done what many other restaurants have done: cut down on the amount of food you get without changing the price (at least at this location). What you see in the picture is what the portion used to be for regular toppings. But you can see on the sticker that I ordered extra of some of them. Why did I do that? Because when I ordered a couple days before this order I received about half of this as a regular order, which is half of what it normally is. What it comes down to is if you're going to advertise bowls filled to the brim as a regular option, follow through on it. Don't skimp. This Chipotle is amazing. Good food, good service, and they're always clean inside. Love the delivery option, too. We get their burrito bowls, and I usually order a second one for lunch the next day. It's even better cold! My dad, who was a skeptic, now loves this place.
