This local establishment does a great job capturing the look and feel of an authentic German beer garden. The atmosphere is great, nice and cozy inside with roomy outdoor areas for a more festive feel. The food is traditional German, with all the usualwursts, schnitzels, noodles and potatoes prepared in an authentic manner. I am actually more of a fan of German street foods, which they do not have much of here. But the entrees and desserts are well-prepared and quite delicious. Prices are a bit high, but you won't find many other places like this in the area. The facility is nice and clean, with good decor and a comfortablelayout. Staff is friendly and helpful. Nice place to visit on the way to the beach.
Great time, delicious food, tasty beer, traditional beer garden ambiance and excellent service. A special shootout to our awesome server, John! German style food spaetzel and schnitzel with red cabbage. We enjoyed the dunkel, lager, Octoberfestbeer. Finished our meal with a scrumptious waffle sundae. Looking forward to our next visit.
The Old Stein Inn was a pleasant surprise on our weekend outing. We were in the area and decided to stop and have an early dinner. The restaurant is warm and inviting, we decided to sit in the dining room as there was a birthday party in the beergarden. Our meals were very good. I loved the red cabbage, it reminded me of my mom's. We had liverwusrt and potato pancakesfor starters; both were absolutely delicious. My husband had the Jagerschnitzel; which he enjoyed very much. I had the vegetablespartzle; it was delicious. We shared a German potato salad, it was different from what I grew up on; but, it was good. Weshared an apple strudel, it was absolutely delicious! The staff was very friendly and attentive. The restaurant is spotless.
Great food and beer selection. I tried something a little different with the schnitzel cordon bleu and my wife had the sauerbraten. Both were excellent. Our server was outstanding Rachel was very attentive without being annoying or overbearingand was a big part of the great experience here. If you like German food this place is great.
I wasn’t in the mood for German food or beer and still had a great dinner! : My husband got the tradition sampler platter which he loved. I got the steamed shrimp which I enjoyed as well. Sat outside on in the covered beer garden which is a very coolspot. Loved the atmosphere and our waitress was great!
