The atmosphe... read more Super gezellig restaurant along the N224. Booked in advance, we came Sunday late afternoon for dinner. We got a nice table with view of the garden. The atmosphere of the restaurant is really cozy, the main building has a hunter decoration while the closed garden extension is super cozy. The waitress was very friendly and we ordered our drinks and dinner. I ordered the ossenhaas Tournedos and my girlfriend the ossobuco. The plates came quite fast (restaurant was getting full) and with a nice presentation. The portions were enough to enjoy it and even have some dessert. Really a nice place to bring your date or your family. Totally recommended. Tip: dogs are welcome! As long as they behave.

Accompanying vegetables were from a frozen bag (frozen peas and… corn, of all things). Red wine reduction wasn’t reduced properly so it was watery. I paid €29,50 for this dish. The service was good and the atmosphere was nice, hence two stars instead of one. Won’t be coming back.

Charcuterie, salad (came with fries) and kids tomato soup were disappointing and overpriced. Ambient was nice, it is well maintained. One of the waitresses was quite unfriendly though towards the kids, another was friendly, so there was some difference there. When they asked whether we were satisfied and we answered that we were not convinced he didn't ask about it. So it seemed he was not really interested in feedback. Although it wasn't too bad, we won't come back.

We had sea... read more It had been quite some time since we were able to go out to diner due to COVID-19. What a way to get back into the game by eating at Planken Wambuis. We had seared duck breast with houding sauce and Iberico Boston Butt with herb butter for our mains. And Sticky Coconut chocolate cake with mango and white chocolate ganache and Banoffee Pie with banana ice cream for desserts. All the dishes were equally delicious. And the service was professional yet very friendly
