Was Anonym at Hagen Arms a mag?
Great traditional country pub with generous meals at good prices, friendly staff and a good selection of drinks. Popular with the locals and those of us who visit on the third Sunday of every month for the free folk singing.Under new ownership and under renovation - and I love what they are doing with the heritage aspects of this old building. What Anonym dislikes about Hagen Arms:
We recently attended for a lunch to celebrate a special occasion, but was disappointed by the experience. The eating area is clearly undergoing renovations, with a patch work of paint test areas on the walls. The toilets are outside and up stairs - not ideal if you have had a few drinks, or for those with any mobility issues. Always a pleasure to stop in to the Hagen Arms for a meal. The customer service is always top notch. Friendly welcoming staff really do make a difference The menu is relatively small but offers something for everyone. The food is leagues above standard pub grub. Everything is a bit special and fancy. Portions are generous and filling. The sourdough is delicious too. Well priced and a beautiful building. I'm not a local. I live about 75kms away but always enjoy stopping in if we're passing by. Highly recommend
Lovely pub, friendly service. Went on pizza Thursday. Pizza was great. Took of one star because the Apple crumble dessert was disappointing. But we’ll definitely visit again!
Really delicious meal. Ordered the chicken and was surprised how much I loved it. Will definitely be back.
Upon receiving my order, I was taken aback by the shockingly small portion size in comparison to the price. It felt like a complete waste of money, and I was disappointed by the value. I had higher expectations from a small local town restaurant and will not be coming back.
