Had friends come from Melbourne and we all ventured down to Johnny & Lyle's for lunch. The meals were excellent and very filling. The coffee was great and our friends commented that the milkshakes were the biggest and nicest they had ever had. Overall, a...More View all feedback.
So, I've been here twice back to back in the same week. Another golf widow was with me for sunday brunch who is gluten intolerant. We both loved the menu and picked the build your own breakfast. I had poached eggs, on sour dough, with bacon, hollandaise sauce, sausage and sweet potato hash brown. She had almost same but swapped out for gluten free toast. The sweet potato hash brown is a work of art.OMG..you will not be disappointed. Lovely, large and nourishing! Poached eggs runny, hollandaise tart..coffee hot and milky (I love milky so always order 1/2 strength!!)Monday I took my husband there again as we were leaving Echuca. He picked the breakfast burger. Came on a bagel..he had to use a knife and fork just to eat it because it was so massive! I had their porridge with caramelised bananas. Lovely thick and creamy! With a welcoming atmosphere and a great courtyard..pick here first...
Popped in for breakfast this morning. Has indoor and out door dining facilities though a bit chilly today. I had tomato juice ($4.00) and a "Toastie" of Ham, Cheese and tomato that was fantastic. My Wife had a avocado smash and it was excellent and we washed that down with two cups of coffee (first time we had green been coffee) and it was all excellent. Friendly and efficient staff added to the experience. It was certainly a great choice on Echuca Cup Day.
The coffee is good, the food is great, the staff are cheerful and friendly and it's a perfect spot. Breakfast choices are lovely. Plenty of parking over the road.
Thanks to the ladies for delicious coffee and yummy banana date loaf. Wonderful customer service, regularly checking to make sure we were okay.
Went here for breakfast and enjoyed it immensely, so much so that we returned for lunch. The wait staff are thoroughly experienced and very friendly. The place was thoroughly packed with patrons on both occasions but we did manage to get a table without the need to book. Lovely ambience and wonderful food. This establishment is extremely popular and with good reason, the food is very tasty and plentiful and represents good value for money. The only minor whinge from me is that the plates were not preheated (a pet hate of mine).
