The journey up to the restaurant was through narrow cobbled streets Was a bit hold your breathe at times. However the pizza didn’t disappoint. Although not looking too big the pizza was delicious and filling. The dough much lighter than what we are used to in the UK. The service was good and thankfully English translation of the menu really helped. The dessert were good. There were six of us and although we didn’t drink anything except water. At €85 was extremely good value. Would go back

My husband and I ate tonight at a quaint little restaurant in the old town of Eboli.The setting in a narrow cobbled lane (Via Santa Sofia),is very atmospheric b... read more My husband and I ate tonight at a quaint little restaurant in the old town of Eboli.The setting in a narrow cobbled lane (Via Santa Sofia),is very atmospheric between old buildings.Yet,we ate on the front terrace,complete with ivy, and candles on the linen tablecloths- a lovely ambience. The extensive menu gave you a choice of antipasti, pastas,meat dishes and pizzas. We chose to share the antipasto di casa,which not only comprised of a variety of cheese,meat and tasty bread,but a dish of several different cooked vegetables as well. It was simlpy delicious. We next both ordered pasta dishes;I had a tasty raviol and hubby chose a carbonara. The red wine was also a house special. The waiters were attentive and helped translate the menu for us.It was obvious there was passion and pride in the presentation of their produce. The price was reasonable for the quality of food and service=€35. A great night out.

The menu is wide ranging enough to cope with fussy teenagers (pizza is ‘awesome’ and a broad range of tastes from veggie to carnivores. Lovely husband and wife team provide cooking and front of house, in an indoor room with terrace dining. All round a fantastic restaurant.

After being turne... read more My husband and I lead cycling tours in Italy. We were scouting locations for an upcoming trip and found ourselves in Eboli on Valentine's Day. After being turned away from several restaurants we found Ristorante Piazzetta Santa Sofia. Unfortunately they too were completely booked but instead of just sending us away one of the owner's walked with us to a few different restaurants nearby to see if she could find us a table. No luck but what an incredible gesture on a busy night! Fast forward to May when we arrived with a group of 30 people. The restaurant is located in the historic section and a short walk from the city center. The chef had worked with us to create a delicious menu that did not disappoint! My favorite was the orechhiette and buffalo in a parmesan bowl Orechhiette con salsiccia di bufalo e provola affumicata in cialda di formaggio! This was the best dinner of the trip and look forward to going back!
