I had a great dining experience at this restaurant, even though there were only two staff members working. The service was friendly and the food was delicious. I will definitely be returning when I am back in Wisconsin. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Red Coal Bbq Family:
they only smoke every 2 or 3 weeks. they eat (cold) microwave transitions, get a fresh price calculated. they refuse to shy for publicity. they refuse to mow grass. the manager is a slob, wears shorts to work, hang around his knees. terrible neighboring, cold eating, fat balls in soda pop. the place looks terrible, a direct reflection of its food quality and service. The restaurant has a nice ambiance and is clean. I appreciate the simple salt and pepper shakers on the tables. However, the service during breakfast was mediocre. The staff was friendly, but they did not return to inquire about coffee refills (no iced tea available). I attempted to get the server's attention but she was preoccupied. I eventually had to approach the counter with our coffee cups. It was only after this that they asked about refills. Fortunately, our food arrived promptly. The eggs were cooked well but were sloppily arranged on the plate.
We visited Red Coal BBQ Family Restaurant for our first breakfast of the year! The food and service were amazing. We were seated quickly and our waiter, Joe, was very patient as it was our first time there for breakfast and we took some time to decide on our order. We had the breakfast curds as an appetizer, and for our main dishes we ordered the cowboy skillet (which came with a variety of fruits like pears, clementines, bananas, and grapes) and the eggs Benedict topped with brisket. Overall, a great experience.
What a disappointment! The previous location was fantastic, but this new one was terrible. We sat down, got our drinks, and then waited for 15 minutes while our server ran around getting refills for other tables. When we asked about a kids menu, we were told they didn't have any printed out, but they had a few options that all came with fries. Both of my kids ordered Mac and Cheese, my wife ordered a brisket sandwich, and I got a pulled pork sandwich.
Wonderful gathering spot for a family gathering! The food was SO good...especially the smoked brisket. I had the Lone Star Burger and it was the best burger I've had in a long time. The place was very clean and had nice clean bathrooms. The only minus was that they were out of mushrooms, so my mom didn't get her mushroom and Swiss burger. However, Owner Brian Moscowitz (sp? didn't charge us for her burger. And then our wonderful server Tucker brought out a huge bouquet of
One of the most delicious sandwiches I've had in a long time. I got the PBLT and loved how thick the bacon was and how tasty the fries were. Their BBQ sauce is incredible, and I say that as someone who usually lives in South Carolina. Very good food.
