I informed the host that she had checked us in so that I could earn my OpenTable points. She replied that she wasn’t aware of what was considered an "OpenTable check-in" or how the points worked. I could tell she hadn’t checked us in because she was waiting for the tables to be available, then seated us right away and handed us the menus. She seemed completely unclear about what I was saying and looked quite confused.

Every year, I find myself having to show proof of my visit just to claim my points, which feels unnecessary and inconvenient. I shouldn't have to worry about keeping track of my receipt for a restaurant that doesn’t even seem to recognize OpenTable. It's absurd that T.G.I. Friday's lacks a reservation kiosk and doesn’t seem to know how to handle these matters properly. Overall, my experience was quite frustrating!

We had a quiet New Year's celebration on Friday. The food was delicious, and the service was attentive. The drinks were generously poured, and the restaurant was conveniently located next to the movie we wanted to see.
