What jasonmY3557UB doesn't like about Shanghi Time:
Had a take away Saturday evening at 6pm Started throwing up an hour and a half later and then sick for 13 hours . I ate half ot the salt and pepper cispy beef and put the other half in the fridge sealed which my wife ate the following day and was also an hour and a half later very sick . I reported this to the restaurant to let them know as I am a regular and an apology would have been good enough and a we will make... View all feedback.
Finally, Eastbourne now has a Chinese takeout that offers dishes different from the usual Cantonese fare. We tried some classic Shanghai dishes like wonton soup, chicken with pickled vegetable noodle soup, and stewed pork in soy sauce. They even offer bubble tea, saving you a trip to Brighton. While the portions of Shanghai specialties are a bit smaller compared to traditional Cantonese dishes, that's what makes it unique. Well done!
The food at this restaurant is consistently excellent. It is always a pleasure to order takeout knowing that the quality will be top-notch. This time, I tried a new dish - a soup with shredded chicken, large and tender pieces, pickled vegetables (which turned out to be green leaves that tasted deliciously mild), and a container of flavorful pale noodles. The broth of the soup was outstanding. I also ordered half portion of chicken balls with sweet and sour sauce, which were crispy on the outside and moist on the inside. The minced pork, prawn, chive, and egg dumplings were a hit with everyone, as they always are. Despite a slight delay in my takeaway order, the restaurant kept me informed through text messages, and the food arrived shortly after. Thank you, Shanghai Time, for consistently delicious meals - looking forward to my next order!
My partner and I always order from this restaurant, and it is definitely the best Chinese food in Eastbourne. The dishes are always hot and delicious. I don't know why it has taken me so long to write a review because they truly deserve the praise. The delivery is always on time, and I would suggest ordering from their website rather than using Just Eat. Overall, very well done! We will definitely continue to dine here.
Very authentic and a great number of menu options. Very good Shanghai dumplings, juicy and well flavoured! I also love bubble milk tea so am ecstatic I can finally get some in eastbourne.
Have ordered many take aways from here now always using their online site as it gives you an extra 10% discount and is very easy to use. There is a 40p charge made and if you spend enough, you get free delivery, making it much cheaper than using JustEat. I love the chicken chow mein, it's very tasty. I recently tried the prawn chow mein but didn't find it as tasty as the chicken one! It needed more soy sauce added to give it flavour. I'm a Type 1 diabetic, on insulin, which means I am susceptible to becoming ill very easily if a place doesn't follow good hygiene rules I'm delighted to say this place is obviously extremely clean and good with food because I've never once been ill : I would highly recommend people to either eat here or order take aways. This is my favourite Chinese take away as it is the best in Eastbourne.
