Ganges Indian Restaurant - Eastbourne

This Indian restaurant is outstanding in every way. Make sure to request a table at the back for a view of the boats. It boasts the best marina view in the UK that I have ever seen. The cuisine is intricate and bursting with flavors, offering a variety of unique dishes.

The restaurant is excellent and I have dined there before. However, my disappointment lies with OpenTable.co.uk, the table booking site. Despite the restaurant being excellent, I had to cancel my reservation this time. Unfortunately, I was unable to do so through the link provided by OpenTable.co.uk. It seems that the site is set up to make it difficult for customers to cancel, as they collect credit for referring customers but do not want to deal with changes in plans. Instead, they suggest calling the restaurant directly, which I understand from my past experience working in a disputes department. While it is common for companies to prefer customers to 'deal direct', I was surprised by OpenTable.co.uk's lack of transparency and will not be using their service again.

Been here a few times, always a joy to come again. Food is alway of a very high standard. My only moan would be I eat too much each time, because it is so lovely. Service is great the staff are always around when you want them, and nothing is too much trouble.

The restaurant offers a fantastic view of the harbor and provides excellent service. The tandoori mixed grill was delicious. One member of our group accidentally spilled their wine (only half a glass) and it was promptly replaced with a new glass at no extra cost, which was a pleasant surprise. I will definitely visit again the next time I am in town.

A busy restaurant with a fantastic view overlooking the main Harbour, Ganges offers great food in a relaxing and most pleasant environment.
