Had a lovely roast lunch here today. Choice of roast was lamb or chicken and my friend and I had lamb. Plenty of meat. Good roast potatoes and veg. I recommend banana pavlova for dessert. Fascinating decor and friendly service. View all feedback.
Small, cozy and very interesting. absolutely full of Dickens-belia an educated word! fascinating to look at the walls. refreshments were nice and quite favorable. toilet is accessible via steep, narrow stairs, which can be challenging for some. only cash payment.
Fantastic scenery and cake! would highly recommend really friendly staff.
Thickens tea cottage is a wonderful experience. the walls are full of interesting objects. beautiful staff, very helpful. the menu is full of delicious meals. I had the omelette with salat and chips. it was excellent and very tasty. wonderful puppies. good old fashion service best. 10 out of ten young for so many reasons.
Really lovely place! Wonderful atmosphere and felt like stepping back in time. The service was very friendly and and welcoming and the scones and tea were fantastic! We also had a ham and cheese toastie which was good but not the best we've had! The scones stole the show for us! Well worth a visit if you're in Eastbourne and a lovely spot for a break.
Enjoy the food and the experience very much. It’s a very unique tearoom.
