This was a first time visit for a mid week lunch. My overall impression was that it’s okay/ nice but nothing spectacular 2 lunch meals and 2 Diet Coke £21.45. The food was hot and tasty although the triple chicken melt could have done with some mayo or sauce as was a bit dry The bar was clean and quiet stylish but quite and the ladies toilets were fine I’m don’t think I’ll be in any hurry to return, I’ll be trying ot... What Lydia F doesn't like about The Brewery Tap:
I went to this restaurant for a family birthday celebration and unfortunately, I was not impressed. The service was subpar as our drinks arrived late and the starters were not properly prepared, leaving one person waiting. The bread roll served with the pate was stale and crumbled easily. The main course from the carvery was average at best and the dessert was also lackluster. The biggest disappointment, however, was... View all feedback.
Went a few months back for some drinks after going to the cinema. We all sat outside because it was lovely weather, much like the service! So many drinks to choose from, we struggled to make up our minds we wanted to try so much. I had a fruity cider, and it was really nice. Chap on the bar was lovely, saw some girls working making sure everywhere was clean and tidy so they definitely care about making sure the place is in good shape. Definitely would go again
My family and I have been going to the Brewery Tap Sunday Carvery for the past few weeks and it has been consistently amazing. The joints of meat are beautifully cooked and there is always a special dish of the day, along with a variety of perfectly cooked vegetables (some in delicious sauces). The staff is friendly and accommodating, and the entire meal is very reasonably priced.
Great food (carvery staff very pleasant and went out of there way for you, I thought the prices were rather cheap, lovely family day out :
I have visited The Brewery Tap dozens of times over the past years, but I feel my latest will be my last. Gone are the days of exciting, well served beers that celebrated Burton's brewing history (as per the museum which is attached to this place). Replaced by microbrews (which admittedly are usually local) that are usually average at best, I had two pints on Saturday and both were flat and pretty tasteless. My rounds were also expensive and served by a woman who obviously hated her job. My visit was peak time on Saturday evening, and I would describe the bar as very quiet. I did hear two separate people ask if they served Bass (as per most of the memorabilia on the walls), the answer to which was no. This place needs to start offering what people want!
I would like to start by saying that the waitress was lovely. The food was good., It just took so long to come out it was a joke. The table next to us was there for a family occasion and they left before thier mains came out it was so slow, and there was only three tables in. I'd do the brewery tour and then go somewhere else for dinner. A discrace of a manager was not apologetic at all. Avoid if you want a nice dinner.
