What Buntyfl doesn't like about Thyme Tide:
Looking forward to giving it a try but bitterly disappointed, atmosphere not welcoming, silent, no background noise or music, looked more like grannies house in decor rather than a nice restaurant I know it’s an old building) staff were over friendly instead of being professionally polite in the background, food was good home cooking at best, and I make a better sauce and presentation, no thought given to veg cooking... the latest restaurant of hornsea fills a gap for those who are looking for casual fine eating, but also as dinky caffe for day. it is a family affair and the cook is concerned for feedba k and full ideas, even if it only gives them the mix of coffee I made, very smooth with some fruity overtones. lunch is all the usual suspects, just something better done when my tuma melt panini was everything to go past. read moreThe restaurant has received mixed reviews, with some customers feeling disappointed by the lack of atmosphere and unprofessional staff. However, others have praised the food quality and friendly service. The establishment is still relatively new and experiencing some teething problems, but overall worth a visit. The menu offers diverse options for meat-eaters, vegetarians, and vegans. The venue itself is cozy and homely, with beautifully presented dishes. Sunday lunches are particularly popular, offering a variety of fresh vegetables and generous portions. Overall, a unique and welcoming spot in the city worth checking out.
