I read reviews but decided to give it go, as was closet to our caravan site. Was not disappointed so good I returned in the same week. I just think people miss read the laid back approach as I did call and thought o blunt...not rude just right to the point whatever pop in. Definitely give it a try as food is amazing View all feedback.
What James Campbell doesn't like about Black Horse Inn:
Cannot believe how rude and miserable this landlord is other family members have called since to totally agree .either doesn't even look up to acknowledge you or if you dare ask what beers he has replies take a look my partner even had to ask him...why he his a landlord totally unsuited for the job . I am sure if it wasn't for the fact there is no other pub around until you get in Hornsea the customers would drop dra... View all feedback.
This spacious village pub is extremely welcoming to dogs. They offer a wide variety of beers, spirits, and wines. Unfortunately, pubs like this are becoming rare. I have dined here several times and have always left satisfied.
This lovely pub is located in a picturesque village. I visited after a long walk and enjoyed dining outside. Our meals were plentiful, reasonably priced, and delicious. There are not many good dining options in the area, so we were very pleased with the charming atmosphere and our lunch.
Visited with the family, barmaid friendly. Ordered quickly as the kitchen was closing, big mistake as should have looked around first flies and sticky tables. We all ordered paninis, after half an hour they came out, and were lukewarm and the rolls seemed uncooked.. not toasted at all. Chips were half cooked. Daughter ordered a hot pork (warmed in the microwave) panini which was dry, it looked and smelt like dog food. I wish someone would have come to ask us how our food was at the time. Should have sent it back in hindsight.
Visited tonight with 3 adults and a dog , took table in the garden. Place does need a bit of TLC but waitress and landlord gave us a cheery welcome and seeing as we were early for food they said we could order anyway so...it was first in kitchen . Great brie starter very hot and fresh , scampi and chips hunters chicken and burger all served quickly and hot and fresh . Landlord served food shared a few jokes about the teenager doing the washing up . Good pint aswell. This is a country pub that welcomes dogs and serves great food at good prices x
Wow. This place has an amazing feel and you can tell that the locals love the place. Amazing value and service. Will definitely visit again!!!
