What D71WEpatriciag doesn't like about Bayview Cafe, Boyes:
Called in at 12-15 noon, wasn't sure what I wanted until I got there and decided, I looked at the cooked food and opted for just a slice of lemon meringue and tea for one. I had seen the food and how it was kept warm, the bacon was in a sort of liquid(god knows what) somebody's eggs were being kept warm till their meal was ready to put on a plate and slid off to join the 2 bits of bacon beans and chips! Great steak pie and apple pie for lunch. Great service from the ladies behind the counter. Very friendly and chatty
We love this cafe! The views are amazing, tables are well spaced out, no background music so it is lovely and peaceful. Food is amazing value and very tasty. The steak pie is full of meat and the gravy is proper meaty gravy, not instant. Good service. Hoping they do Christmas dinner again this year.
I ordered an English breakfast and the bacon was extremely overcooked. The restaurant is decent, but I wouldn't recommend it as the food is not worth the price. The tables at which we were seated were dirty with crumbs, and the cups and cutlery were not properly cleaned.
The café is on the top floor of the building and you can get tables looking out over the beach and sand scenic. The service was very friendly, but a little chaotic. Main meals we reasonable prices) £7 or £8) and very good, but the cake for dessert came in at £3.75 which is a lot for cake! I'd eat here again, but buy a whole cake at the supermarket instead!
The café is located on the top floor of the store and offers two seating areas. One area is furnished with sofas and easy chairs while the other has more basic tables and chairs. The café offers fantastic views overlooking the bay and sea to the south, as well as the town to the north. They serve traditional fare without fancy coffees like cappuccinos. I enjoyed a toasted tea cake and a black coffee during my visit. The menu also includes breakfast options, steak pie, scampi, and quiche. Although I didn't have time for a full meal, the steak pie looked very appealing. The staff were friendly and the café was kept clean.
